Smoked Black Pepper

Im sitting here watching youtube chowing down on this stuff & I’m not even vegan but I HAD to write a 5 star review because this stuff is delicious. My husband brought back some of the black pepper flavor after work, and I expected it to be disgusting or far off from jerky’s taste and texture but let me tell you. This is 10/10 perfection. I’m really sensitive to sodium, grease, and high calories (gives me headaches and makes me feel sick) and this stuff has almost half the amount of that stuff compared to leading brands per package. Likewise, The texture and taste is the same is the same if not better than normal jerky. I can eat so much of this guilt free. perfect snack.

So I happened across this while at Old Forester Distillery and became OBSESSED with it. I absolutely loved the flavor and it pairs so well with bourbon. I knew that I had to find more, because jerky is one thing that I missed when I stopped eating meat.

I love all the flavors I’ve tried but the Smokey Pepper is my favorite. This jerky is hands down my favorite movie watching treat. It’s pretty addictive but also fairly low cal so I’d say snack away.

I've been ordering this smoked black pepper jerky regularly for over five years, even when I was living abroad. The product is very good with consistent formula and quality. Perfect balance of spicy and salty. Great source of protein; I eat a bag a day! Yes it's that good!

I have ordered this a few times. It has a nice texture. A little thick. When you take a bite, you can definitely taste the pepper. I would say it is umami and the background flavors are beef-like.

If you're snacking and you don't want meat, this is a tasty substitute.

This was one of the first flavors that I tried and it used to be my favorite. I still love it and use it too make many things for dinner. It's not just a great snack.

This was my into to Louisville Jerky, and boy was this one good. It's got an odd taste, slightly sour, but that actually makes it better. It's reminiscent of a teriyaki based marinade, and goes well with the pepper flavor.

This is one of my favorites. It has great flavor and has never disappointed.

My husbands favorite flavor

I love the black pepper flavor, but it's hard to enjoy because the jerky is too salty & that's why I don't buy it anymore, unless I don't mind soaking it in water to remove some of the saltiness, which also rinses out some of the pepper flavor that I like. I would've given it 5 stars & it would be great if not salty. I've told them about this YEARS ago(about 7 years or so) & I've tasted no improvement in the salt amount. Oh well, I'll just enjoy the non salty jerky that they have, which is not that many, unfortunately.

My partner's favorite and one of mine. Delicious black peppery taste that is a bit more dry rub than saucy. Really good.
